NASCAR Week in Wetaskiwin is a week long celebration prior to NASCAR Canada's NAPA 300 on July 12th 2025. This week highlights Businesses, Clubs and Organization and promotes a positive community. Working together to bring fans and visitors into Wetaskiwin and the County. This 2025 year, NASCAR Week will happen from July 6th to July 12th. NASCAR HOME TRACKS RACING!
Should be a great day for racing. Keep local racing alive and take the drive out to Wetaskiwin. This weekend is the NASCAR Late Models, NASCAR Thunder Cars, NASCAR Pure Stocks, Future Stocks,.IMCA Modifeids. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. Racing begins at 6:00 p.m.

Brings your kids for Race Car Driver Storytime. Where kids may enjoy a sneak peak at a real race car and EIR Driver(s) will be reading during Story time at Wetaskiwin Public LIbrary.
FREE MOVIE AND CAR DISPLAY
Celebrate the start of NASCAR WEEK, watch your favourite movies. Movies and Times will be announced soon. Cars on Display 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
PLAY IN THE PARK (2024 EVENT)
10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Parkdale School
Come out and join the group at Parkdale School for Play in the Park. Fun and Games for all ages. Race Car on Display
HOT DOG BBQ AND FUNDRAISER (2024 EVENT)
Come out to Wetaskiwin Vision Credit Union 5111-50 Avenue 1:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Hot Dog BQQ and Fundraiser $5 to participate. Bring you non-perishable food bank donation
PINE CAR DERBY (2024 EVENT)
Registration is $15. 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. St. John's Lutheran Church. 5506 - 55 Street
Get your pine block of wood early, or pick out a pre-cut car and paint your design on it.
Before customizing your pine car, be sure to check out the rules for the race. There's also some helpful tips as to how you can make your car the fastest on race day! You can find the rules in the pictures below.

Racing with Meet the Drivers Autograph Session
Enjoy the first of two days of racing this weekend. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. and Racing starts at 6:00 p.m. On the schedule is a NASCAR Late Models Special, NASCAR Thunder Cars, NASCAR Pure Stocks, Future Stocks, Mini Cups, and Stackers.
A bonus night Meet the Drivers Autograph Session at 5:30 p.m.

The NASCAR Canada Series Hauler Parade, Staging at the Royal Hotel in Nisku at 7:00 a.m.
Leaving the Hotel at 8:00 a.m. Traveling South Down QE2 Highway
Turn East on Highway 13 to Wetaskiwin
Turn North on 2A through Wetaskiwin, then West Township Road 464
Estimated time in Wetaskiwin around 8:30 a.m.
ULTIMATE CAR SHOW
Go early to check out all the cars at Reynolds Alberta Museum, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
